Farm Work Day

🐐 Farm Volunteer Work Day at J & J Second Chance Small Holdings!
Come spend a day at J & J Second Chance Small Holdings helping care for our animals and the farm! Volunteers will take part in daily chores and projects that make a real difference for our rescue herd.

Activities may include:
Feeding and watering goats, mini donkeys, ponies, and other rescue animals
Cleaning pens and refreshing bedding
Repairing and maintaining shelters and fencing
Organizing feed and supplies
Seasonal projects — such as preparing winter shelters, checking heat tapes, and securing barns for cold weather

What to bring:
Weather-appropriate clothing (you will get dirty!)
Closed-toe boots or shoes
Gloves, hat, sunscreen, and a refillable water bottle
A great attitude and willingness to help

Fall/Winter Focus:
As the weather turns colder, much of our work centers around keeping animals warm and safe — reinforcing shelters, preparing barns, checking heaters, and managing hay and water to prevent freezing.
